As a Kansas City Wedding Photographer that is always down for a Colorado Elopement, I love when couples choose to get married in a way that feels authentic to them, and this day was the perfect example. Joey and Rachel spent the morning together, getting ready side by side inside their Airbnb tucked away in the mountains. Rachel wore a beautiful gown from Stephanie’s Bridal Boutique, and Joey looked sharp in his custom suit from Todd’s Clothiers. There were no strict timelines or big crowds—just peaceful mountain views and moments full of connection.

Before the ceremony, Rachel shared an emotional first look with her dad, who later officiated their elopement ceremony in the backyard. With their families standing close by, they exchanged personal vows surrounded by nature. It was the kind of quiet, intentional ceremony that makes you feel every word.

They also picked wildflowers from the nearby grass to decorate their backyard dinner table, which paired beautifully with floral pieces from Boulder Blooms and beautiful custom candles from Lou and Co Candles. After the ceremony, they shared sweet parent dances and cut into a stunning cake made by My Favorite Baker Denver. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous, but it tasted just as good as it looked.

Later, we headed to downtown Boulder for some fun flash photos outside the St. Julien Hotel before sending them off for a celebratory dinner at Jill’s. Capturing their portraits in the city added the perfect contrast to their natural mountain ceremony and made for some unforgettable Boulder memories.
